West London Garden

Once their children had grown up and left home, the clients wanted to reclaim the garden for themselves, and create a beautiful contemporary space as an extension to their much-loved family home.

The clients required deep planting beds, two ponds and a small lawn.
Alongside this, a comfortable seating space at the end of the garden was created to make the most of the sunlight throughout the day, and concealing the view of this area from inside the house helped to give the garden depth and privacy. A true urban escape!

Plants needed to provide year-round interest as the garden is used and enjoyed on a daily basis. To do so a mixture of interesting flowering shrubs, topiary and hard working perennials were introduced to bring colour, form and texture, with the added benefit of providing a diverse space for wildlife to appreciate too.
